In and out of the hospital for three years, Daniel received a bone marrow transplant at the University of Wisconsin in 2008 He remains in remission to this day.

During Daniel’s long hospital stay, Daniel’s mother, Tatyana, passed the time by stringing crystal bracelets for her employer, Anna Verbsky Sagami of The Earring Tree. It proved to be therapeutic and helped to pay the bills. Many of the bracelets were sold in the University Hospital Gift Shop. Bracelets and Anklets continue to sell throughout the U.S.A[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Daniel and his mother were visited in the hospital by the “Make a Wish Foundation” and, in 2009 they granted Daniel’s wish for a “big boat ride” by sending the family on a cruise to St. Thomas & Barbados. The trip was a dream come true for Daniel and his family and continued the legacy of the “Make a Wish Foundation” in granting the wishes of seriously ill children.

To honor Daniel and his family, and to thank the “Make a Wish Foundation” for helping to make their dreams come true. Anna Verbsky Sagami and Jill Adler continue to work together for the “Make a Wish” Foundation. Bracelets and Anklets are sold at the “Shoe Box” in Black Earth, Wisconsin.
